Air France Vintage Glass Ashtray with World Map – Mid-Century Design
This decorative vintage Air France glass ashtray was produced by A. Gerrer S.A., Mulhouse (France) and features a colorful world map with airline routes.
The design is inspired by the famous illustrated world maps created for Air France by Lucien Boucher (1889–1971), one of the most influential French graphic artists of the 20th century. His richly detailed maps helped define the visual identity of Air France from the 1930s to the 1960s and established a new genre of artistic aviation cartography.
Made from solid clear glass, this piece is a classic example of mid-century airline design. It works beautifully as an ashtray, catchall, or decorative object for collectors of aviation, travel, and vintage design.
