Product description
A finely sculpted zoomorphic mask with many details.
Hardwood with a brown patina, black plant pigments highlighted with ochre, red, and white around the eyes, and scarification.
The almond-shaped, half-closed eyes are deeply rimmed.
The headdress is represented by an architectural relief engraving.
The horns, depicting an antelope, are fragmented with broad pigmented striations.
The nose is thin and crescent-shaped, and the open mouth reveals sculpted teeth symbolizing a leopard.
Note a small chip on the back, invisible from the front.
