Welcome! You have just viewed a beautiful, rare white Art Deco mid-century porcelain set designed by AD Copier for Eschenbach, Bavaria, Germany. Most admirers read it as AZC, which is incorrect. It is ADC.
The set consists of 1 large soup tureen,
3 vegetable/potato/salad tureens, and 3 serving dishes.
Below you will find the dimensions in cm and inches.
The entire set is in very good vintage condition. There are two signs of wear. One near the wavy plate and one near the vegetable tureen. These two small spots have been magnified in the photos.
Andries Dirk Copier – 1901–1991 – is considered the most important Dutch (glass) artist of the 20th century. Copier's work was influenced by the most recent technical discoveries, resulting in personal contemporary designs. At the beginning of his career, he was appointed as a designer at the Leerdam Glass Factory, where he was given the freedom to experiment. Together with his team, he discovered a wide range of techniques for both utilitarian objects and one-of-a-kind 'Unica' pieces. Furthermore, photocopiers were designed for the Eschenbach brand, one of the leading brands in the German porcelain industry. Based on this experience, Eschenbach has specialized for decades in manufacturing high-quality porcelain for hotels and restaurants. The brand originates from the Bavarian town of Windischeschenbach. The majority shareholder was the firm 'Winterling'.
