The mix of modern and classic elements combined with the use of high-quality materials such as (stained) walnut, birch (inside) and brass/bronze handles and adjustable legs make this sideboard a masterpiece that is suitable for any modern vintage interior. This sideboard was designed by Abraham Patijn in the early 1950s for the Dutch manufacturer Zijlstra. Beautifully executed sideboard with art deco elements and a high-gloss finish. The drawers are curved on the inside; a typical Patijn/Zijlstra element. The wood has a lively appearance with a beautiful grain. The striking decorative lines, the brass feet, glossy finish, all details that are so characteristic of the Dutch Art Deco period, with iconic architects such as Berlage and Julius Luthmann.
