This unique cordless table lamp was crafted from a small majolica amphora vase dating from the 1950s/60s. The manufacturer is not definitively known, but stylistically, the vase is reminiscent of smaller Italian or South German studio ceramic productions of that era. The decorative circular ornament on the front, featuring a graphic relief and hand-painted details in dark blue, white, and black, is particularly striking. The small handles on the sides lend the vase an almost Mediterranean feel.
The handcrafted lampshade is covered with a Japanese cotton fabric depicting dogs in a charming illustration style. The motif strongly evokes children's book and graphic design of the 1950s and harmonizes surprisingly well with the ceramic form of the vase. When illuminated, the lamp emits a soft, warm light with a very inviting ambiance.

Conversion to a lamp – gentle on the object & reversible:
The vase was intentionally converted into a lamp without drilling or permanent alterations. The original ceramic body was completely preserved, thus maintaining the character and collector's value of the vintage ceramic.

The lamp is powered by a rechargeable LED bulb and can be conveniently charged via USB-C. It provides up to approx. 12 hours of illumination. The bulb is dimmable, and various light colors can be selected via remote control. Replacement bulbs are readily available.
