The most famous Egyptian goddess associated with cats is Bastet. Originally depicted as a lioness, she later took the form of a cat or a woman with a cat's head. Bastet was revered as a goddess of joy, dance, music, festivals, life and warmth, as well as a protector of women and homes. Dimensions (individually) H 39 cm x D 33.5 cm x W 15 cm. Good vintage condition.
