For sale: a set of 4 dining chairs “DLA/DSA” by Arnold Merckx for Arco; true examples of high‑quality Dutch Design from the 1980s. These timeless chairs combine minimalism with functionality, material purity, and the clean lines that define that era. They are perfect around a dining table, conference table, or as stylish design accents in the home.
The design is reminiscent of the modernist style of Mies van der Rohe, Martin Visser, and Marcel Breuer, with clear references to the Bauhaus tradition and the iconic tubular‑steel furniture of that time.
The chairs feature a slim chrome‑plated tubular metal frame, a gently curved backrest, and a seat made of bent wood, upholstered in black saddle leather. The black‑lacquered armrests have a beautiful natural patina that fits the vintage look. The height of the armrests is 63 cm.
