The Du 24 chair was designed by Gastone Rinaldi in 1956. The chair has a painted steel tube frame with upholstery covered in Hower Plast synthetic material. A patent on the design of the frame has been filed for this model. In this chair, the seat and backrest are a flap that continues the structure itself but are detached from it, allowing both easier insertion of the covers and upholstery, but above all, making the backrest and seat elastic and extremely comfortable. The chair is published in the book 'Gastone Rinaldi Designer alla RIMA.'
The chairs are in good condition, they are chairs that have been used, so the upholstery is shaded but both the frame and the padding are solid. The varnished steel frames have some marks and in some places some missing varnish. The original feet, which are no longer present, have been replaced by rubber cup feet.
