An exceptionally rare pair of 19th-century Chinoiserie wardrobes, finished in black lacquer with hand-painted gilded Oriental scenes featuring pagodas, landscapes, pavilions, and figures.
Each wardrobe features a large mirrored door, a bottom drawer, and an internal hanging rail for clothing. The elegant proportions and decorative lacquer work make these wardrobes perfectly suited for a bedroom, dressing room, or high-end interior design project.
The original mirror panels have developed age-related fading and foxing, giving the glass a beautiful antique character. The lacquer surfaces show signs of wear consistent with age and use. Dimensions (per piece)
