Product description
A charming early 19th-century engraving in black and white depicting a young English shepherdess. Titled at the bottom center "A GIRL OF THE FOREST OF SNOWDEN." Inscriptions "H. Bunbury Esq dit." and "P.W. Tomkins pupil to F. Bartolozzi sculp."
This is an engraving by the English engraver and publisher Peltro William Tomkins (1759-1840) after a work by the English painter Henry William Bunbury (1750-1811).
