80s Cometa Wall Lamp L. Stano X P. Bistacchi for Tre Ci Luce. This large 80s Italian wall lamp bears the name Cometa and was made for lighting manufacturer Tre Ci Luce. This specific lamp was designed by the Italian design duo L. Stano and P. Bistacchi. Their designs for Tre Ci Luce are characterized by their minimalist and sleek appearance. The Cometa is perhaps one of the designers' most famous creations. The Cometa consists of an angular black shape onto which a large, round, ribbed plastic circle is mounted. In the center of this circle is a smaller yellow circle. The lamp can be switched on and off using a pull cord. Tre Ci Luce is known for its Memphis-style lighting designs. The Italian company achieved iconic status in the 1980s by entering into collaborations with both leading and emerging designers. These designers worked independently on designs, but also often joined forces. This is also the case with this Cometa wall lamp. The wall lamp is fitted with a new LED bulb and a new plug. Additionally, the lamp is supplied including mounting material. The lamp has some minor discoloration, but is otherwise in good vintage condition!
