Description:
The deliberately reduced, absolutely straightforward lines give the unit its timeless elegance. But the chair is not only aesthetically pleasing, it is also very comfortable. Thanks to the free-swinging tubular construction, the chair rocks very slightly. A sitting feeling that is made even more pleasant by the elasticity of the high-quality wickerwork of the seat and backrest.
About the cantilever chair ...
A cantilever chair is a chair with a seat that cantilevers freely into the room without being supported on all sides by legs. Cantilever chair is derived from kragen = to protrude; English term: cantilever chair. This also includes variants of the so-called cantilever chair, a two-legged cantilever chair without rear legs, in which the elasticity of cold-bent tubular steel is used and which enables springy sitting. The cantilever construction to avoid disturbing supports was realized by Mart Stam, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Marcel Breuer, Alvar Aalto, Verner Panton and Stefan Wewerka.
