Set of 6 vintage dining chairs model No. 42, designed by Kai Kristiansen for Schou Andersen, Denmark 1960s.
One of the world's most iconic chairs, the "zigzag" chair or model No. 42 designed by top Danish designer Kai Kristiansen. The chairs have a slightly movable backrest for optimal conformity.
Unique set in this number and condition. The frames are structurally refinished and in solid condition. They have a new finish and are completely fresh. The frames are beautifully organically shaped and have beautiful visible wood grain.
The set is upholstered in the still original blended wool upholstery. There have always been rugs over the chairs and it shows. Very sparingly used and therefore well preserved. The upholstery is flawless and beautifully rich.
A unique set in a higher price range. Also several matching sets of (Danish) dining room tables available.
