Extremely rare set of 6 fully restored S2 (often mistakenly referred to as S11) chairs designed by Alfred Hendrickx for Belform for the 1958 Universal Exposition which was hosted in Brussels / Belgium.
The chairs combine minimalistic black lacquered cherry wood frame with woven cane seating, which forms an elegant example of midcentury design.
Dimensions:
- Width: 45 cm
- Depth: 50 cm
- Height: 81 cm
The chairs are in a pristine condition after being completely and professionnaly restored by 2 craftsmen using the same techniques as in 1958. They have never been used as they unfortunately do not fit in my current flat.
