Product description
Exceptional set of 6 Chaplin dining armchairs. Stunning patinated, thick leather. Hard to find in this color.
Designed by Gerard van den Berg for Montis, the Netherlands (1983)
The leather cover hangs nonchalantly on the chair like a padded ‘jacket’ and is secured all around with four zips. The chairs are ideally suited for a comfortable eating or discussion area.
Gerard van den Berg (1947) attended a vocational course in furniture production at the technical secondary school, Rotterdam. A joint founder of Montis, Gerard was a dedicated designer at Montis for many years (until 1990).
Condition :
The original leather has some normal wear for its age. Perfect patina.
All the chairs have their Montis lable and bottom.
