5 Wasa Furniture Dining Chairs | Brutalist Design Classics | 1970s
I am selling a set of 5 original dining chairs from the Swedish manufacturer Wasa Furniture, dating back to the 1970s.
Regarding the Brutalist design:
These chairs are truly unique pieces and cannot be compared to today's standardized wooden chairs. They perfectly embody the Brutalist style: nothing is hidden here – the construction is deliberately solid, heavy, and monumental. The design thrives on the raw, honest beauty of the solid pine, whose strong grain and natural knots are sculpturally showcased. The organically curved, thick backrest breaks up the strict geometry, while the three vertical struts and the iconic circular cutout give the chairs their distinctive, architectural silhouette. A real, unconventional eye-catcher in any room, these chairs offer excellent seating comfort despite their substantial presence, thanks to their ergonomically shaped seats.
Flexibility in appearance:
Since the chairs are made entirely of solid wood, they can be perfectly customized: If desired, they can easily be sanded and re-stained, oiled, or waxed to your liking to refresh the patina or change the color.

Condition:
The chairs are in honest, perfectly sound vintage condition. Age-related wear and tear, as well as occasional scratches and dents on the wood, are simply part of the rustic style. (Note: The photos were taken in the garden in daylight, but the chairs have always been kept indoors.)
Price:
Since these chairs are no longer in production by Wasa Möbel, they are in extremely high demand on the market. Anyone who browses international design platforms like Pamono or 1stDibs knows that sets of four are currently selling for between €2,600 and over €4,000 (see screenshots) – and this is a rare set of five.
Since I urgently need to make room and want to sell the set easily, I'm selling all five chairs together at a very fair price, well below gallery prices.
