"Carimate" Dining Chairs by Vico Magistretti for Cassina, Italy, 1960, Set of 5. The "Carimate" dining chairs by Vico Magistretti, designed for Cassina, feature a natural wood frame with a reddish tint and new seats upholstered in Stockholm Beige fabric. This set of 5 chairs, produced in Italy in the 1960s, is one of Magistretti's most iconic designs. These dining chairs were specifically chosen for the dining room of the 'Carimate Golf Club' in Como, Italy. Over time, the chairs were produced by four different companies until Magistretti applied for a patent for the construction in 1963. The "Carimate" chair is inspired by traditional country furniture and refines its simplicity – the combination of Italian craftsmanship and modern design results in a timeless piece. Magistretti paid special attention to small but important details, such as the anatomical curvature of the backrest. Beautiful, virtually new dining chairs with a natural look. ORIGINAL CHAIRS, 2 OF WHICH HAVE A CASSINA STICKER.
