Rare set of 4 solid wood chairs designed in 1962 by Hans Anliker and published by Horgen Glarus. Some say that these chairs were conceived as a project during courses run by Willy Guhl at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Zurich. Whatever the case, this is a fine and rare example of Swiss design. The design and workmanship are remarkable from any angle (front, back, side), with the leaf-shaped seat and backrest and the pyramid shape of the backrest legs.
These 4 chairs are structurally very solid and present a nice overall patina. The lower parts of the legs show understandable wear and tear due to use and age, without detracting from the global state of the chairs.
