Beautiful set of bentwood chairs, design Thonet no. 14, produced by Mundus-Kohn and APM, circa 1900-1920.
Mundus-Kohn, along with Thonet, was one of the most important players in the bentwood furniture market. In the 1920s, Thonet and Kohn merged. The Thonet no. 14 model is now considered the most successful furniture design ever. This set of four chairs has a beautiful deep dark color and a gorgeous patina. A lovely peacock motif on the seats. The chairs have been inspected, cleaned, and waxed. The construction of all four chairs is completely sturdy and stable. Ready to use!
