The chair's ergonomically designed backrest and cantilever frame provide comfortable seating. Axel Bruchhäuser began developing this design in collaboration with Mart Stam, Marcel Breuer and Jean Prouvé. Based on Jean Prouvé's "tube aplati," a development he had been using since 1924.
