Dutch “DC” chairs by Dick Spierenburg for Castelijn, designed in 1978. The frame is made of metal. The chairs are newly upholstered with a cobalt blue felt furniture fabric. This design by Dick Spierenburg is a good example of Dutch Post Modern Design.
Dick Spierenburg (1953) is a designer, interior designer and design manager. Spierenburg studied engineering at the TU in Delft. Dick Spierenburg has been working as a designer since the late 1970s. He was co-founder of the Dutch Interior Collective. Designer Dick Spierenburg designed designer furniture for Dutch brands such as Gelderland, Arco, Montis and Castelijn.
