This collection consists of four original ink drawings and one reproduction (the 'Volt-ooien') by the Dutch artist Frans Wentholt. During his lifetime, Wentholt was a well-known illustrator for *de Volkskrant*, as well as a comic artist and cryptogram creator. These works showcase his distinctive humorous and cryptographic style. The drawings feature playful, figurative depictions with a graphic character. Four of the five works are original ink drawings framed behind glass, while the fifth work is a reproduction in a frame without glass. The frames are made of wood or plastic. The condition of the works is good, with light signs of age. The artist's original signature is visible on the works, contributing to their authenticity and collectible value. The artist personally sent his drawings to winners who solved his cryptographic rebus drawings. The smallest frame is 25 x 19 cm; the largest frame is 34 x 44 cm; the others vary.
