There is something deliciously French about this antique dinnerware, a familiar elegance that evokes carefully set tables and pieces gladly brought out for beautiful luncheons. This set includes four flat plates of fine Digoin & Sarreguemines earthenware. Their gently undulating shape softens the line while small bouquets of red and blue roses lightly punctuate the rim. A delicate gold trim highlights the edge and accompanies the flowers without ever weighing down the overall design. Produced in the first half of the 20th century, around , they bear on their reverse the Digoin & Sarreguemines France mark with a crowned crest. With a diameter of approximately 24 cm, they have retained that special charm of antique dinnerware that today allows for all sorts of versatility. Time has left a few discreet traces and slightly patinated the gilding in places. Nothing that erases their elegance, quite the opposite. These four plates have graced many tables and seem entirely ready to return to service for a few more decades.
