Charming set of four antique/vintage Limoges porcelain soup plates, translucent when held up to the light, stamped B & C°, Bernardaud et Compagnie, produced between 1920 and 1950. Elegant octagonal design with a wide rim, a typical Art Deco shape. Multicolored floral transfer decoration with a blue border, spring-like, warm, cheerful, and traditional. 24.7 cm in diameter and 4 cm high. Very good condition, although the decoration shows some minor manufacturing flaws and wear to the transfer and rim. No chips or cracks, just a few very light and discreet utensil marks. Two of the plates have slight and discreet crazing on the base, as well as some minor manufacturing imperfections, but show very little use. Approximately 300-350g each. Hand washing recommended, occasional dishwasher wash okay on a gentle, low-temperature cycle.
