Product description
Rare set of four hot drink glasses with matching metal holders in a distinct Bauhaus style.
An identical set (same shape, dimensions, and construction) was offered online and sold through a Scandinavian antiques website as a design by Josef Hoffmann, produced by Bieffeplast (Italy) for $650.
This attribution is based on strong stylistic similarities in design, proportions, and materials. The glasses themselves are unmarked.
The combination of clear cylindrical glass with a sleek, geometric metal frame seamlessly aligns with the modernist idiom for which Hoffmann was known.
A unique find as a complete set of four, rarely offered.
Price negotiable, especially for serious inquiries.
👌 Condition: Excellent. No chips or cracks in the glass. One glass has a small rust spot on the inside of the holder (see last photo).
📐 Dimensions: Height incl. metal holder 11.6 cm, diameter 6.2 cm. Weight of the entire set: 555 g.
