100&ONE (sold individually)
An organically shaped tabletop with a strong top layer, supported by a forest of 101 round legs made of beech, walnut, and walnut wood. The seemingly fragile, thin legs (with diameters ranging from 4 to 14 mm) work together to give the tabletop stability and strength.
The table was originally designed as part of a trio, placed in a spacious setting surrounded by benches and chairs. Even as a standalone object, the strength of the design remains convincingly present.
The tabletop is crafted from 24 mm birch plywood and finished with a hard HPL top layer. The edges are protected against UV radiation by two barely visible filter layers. The whole is strong and stable, and capable of supporting the weight of an adult. The tables are available in three carefully chosen colors that complement each other: Ultra White, Petrol, and Storm (Resopal HPL: 6001-60, 0602-60, 10542-60).
Inspiration
The inspiration for this design comes from mangrove forests: a seemingly fragile forest of thin trunks that radiates strength precisely in its collective cohesion. This tension between fragility and strength forms the heart of the table.
