Set of 3 'Dora' Luminous Rock Lamps - André Cazenave (1960s)
Great set of 3 'Dora' luminous rock lamps, created during the sixties by French designer André Cazenave and edited by a number of producers, such as Roland Jamois, Atelier A, Singleton, Disderot and Tecta.
These lights were handmade of epoxy and fiberglass, coated with a multitude of fine stone imprints, making each lamp unique with variations in finish and shape. According to Cazenave, the organic, natural shapes and colors will bring a touch of the outdoors nature into the living home of people. When lit, the Dora rocks evoke a comforting ambience of light, and can be considered as an object of true 1960s art.
The very lamps offered here are made by Tecta. The biggest rocks are quite hard to find. Great condition, no cracks, all complete with holders, perfect working order, and all lights are labeled with manufacturers sign.
