A set of three turned solid brass candlesticks, characterized by a modular cylindrical construction and a formal balance typical of 1970s Scandinavian design. The stacked volumes, alternating solid bases and slender stems, create a restrained and rigorous architectural silhouette.
These models were designed in 1976 by Thelma Zoega (1922–2014), granddaughter of Carlos Zoega, an iconic figure of the Swedish coffee company Zoegas, to commemorate the brand's 90th anniversary. Production took place in Sweden, in a commemorative context, which explains the presence of the Zoega mark engraved on each piece.
The set perfectly illustrates the functional Scandinavian design of the period, where geometric simplicity and the quality of the material take precedence over any ornamentation.
