PK22
The Fritz Hansen PK22 Armchair is a 1956 design by Poul Kjærholm. The design originated from a student project the Danish designer completed during his graduation from the School of Applied Arts in Copenhagen. After some modifications, the PK22 Chair was born shortly thereafter; an award-winning design that brought Poul Kjærholm worldwide recognition. The PK22 embodies the designer's quest for the ideal industrial armchair. It is therefore a lightweight design, with a sturdy steel frame and high-quality upholstery in fabric, leather, or natural wicker. The carefully considered shape of the seat also encourages a healthy and relaxed sitting posture. Poul Kjærholm therefore paid close attention to functionality and durability. At the same time, the armchair has a very modern look, which is striking considering it was designed in 1956. A nice detail is the stylish placement of the characteristic steel feet. The base is made of brushed stainless steel spring steel.
PK91
The PK91 is an attractive folding stool designed by Poul Kjærholm for Fritz Hansen in 1961. The stool has a minimalist design, with a simple canvas or leather seat attached to an x-shaped base of satin-brushed stainless steel. The seat is available in various colors. In designing the PK91, Kjærholm combined his deep interest in historical furniture with his own modern craftsmanship and artistic expression. The inspiration behind the PK91 comes from the crutches of ancient Egypt, the history of which
