"La Surprise" – Antique French Clock Set (ca. 1890–1910) – Signé Guillemin
Beautiful three-piece French clock set from the Belle Époque period, consisting of a large mantel clock and two matching cassolette clocks.
The clock is titled “La Surprise” and signed by the renowned French sculptor Émile Guillemin (1841–1907).
The central figure depicts an elegant woman with a cherub, crafted from spelter with a warm bronze patina. The set stands on solid red marble bases, beautifully merging the colors and style. The mechanical movement was made by Société Clusienne S.C.A.P.H. (France) and features a chime.
