The Quiet Gold of the Garden is a small triptych about a great discovery:
that beauty does not always have to be sought far away.
Sometimes it is simply found in your own garden. In a flower. In a bud that has yet to open. In a few yellow dots that, in the light, almost become
golden pearls.
To me, flowers possess a special, almost mystical energy. Their mere presence can change something within me. Their colors can comfort me, their forms can fill me with wonder, and sometimes they literally give me new energy.
With these three small watercolors, I wanted to capture that experience.
The small is not small when you truly look.
Perhaps *that* is the gold of the garden.
Each work measures 6 x 8.5 x 1.8 cm. The small frames can be hung or placed on a surface, allowing them to live as separate little art jewels, but also to form an intimate triptych together. The small works each have their own title: 1. Heart of the Poppy 2. Waiting for the Flower to Unfold 3. The Yellow Pearls
