Designed by Vittorio Nobili in 1955 for Tagliabue, the “Medea” chair is a masterpiece of Italian mid-century design. Its organic, sculptural form is achieved through a single bentwood shell, elegantly perched on a slender tubular steel frame.
Celebrated for its balance of engineering and aesthetics, the Medea chair earned international acclaim — including the Compasso d’Oro award. It remains one of the most iconic examples of postwar Italian furniture, equally suited to dining rooms, desks, or refined display.
This vintage example features a warm wood tone with beautiful grain, highlighting the natural elegance of the form.
