In 1949, Rohe Noordwolde founded his own company, which produced rattan furniture and quickly became one of the largest in the country. His designs, characterized by simplicity and elegance, were very popular and helped to popularize rattan furniture worldwide. Over the years, Rohe Noordwolde continued to develop new designs and experiment with new materials, especially leather and wood. His designs are still highly sought after and are exhibited in museums and galleries around the world.
