This set of two Pamplona armchairs was designed in the 1960s by Augusto Savini for the Italian manufacturer Pozzi. The striking silhouette is characterized by a continuous, curved backrest that flows seamlessly into the armrests, giving the design its distinctive architectural presence. The construction consists of a black lacquered wooden frame combined with black leather upholstery for the seat and backrest. Exposed metal joints on the backrest emphasize the constructive approach of the design. The monochromatic black color scheme accentuates the clean lines and sculptural form of the chairs. The armchairs are in good, functional condition with a patina commensurate with their age. The original lacquer and leather upholstery retain an authentic character that reflects the history of the pieces. The edges of the black wooden frames show age-related lacquer chipping (see photos).
