Set of 2 FSM Shelby Recliners — Georg Appeltshauser — Petrol Nappa Leather Particularly elegant set of two Shelby recliners (FM-111), designed by Georg Appeltshauser for the Swiss manufacturer FSM – Frank Sitzmöbel. The design combines a sleek, architectural outer shell with an exceptionally soft and generously padded interior. FSM itself describes the concept as a combination of a hard shell with a soft core. This version is upholstered in beautiful petrol-colored Nappa leather. It concerns lightly pigmented Nappa leather with a thickness of approximately 1.2–1.4 mm. The deep petrol color changes subtly with the angle of light and beautifully showcases the natural grain and character of the leather. Furthermore, the Shelby is a full-fledged recliner. The chair is 360° rotatable, features a tilt function of up to approx. 17°, and is equipped with a cleverly integrated, extendable leg rest. In the closed position, the design remains particularly refined; when unfolded, it creates a spacious reclining position. The four-star metal swivel base forms a beautiful technical contrast with the soft leather and emphasizes the high-quality, modern character of the design.
