Product description
Magnificent antique Bernardaud Limoges porcelain dinner service, very fine, translucent white, stamped B & C°, Bernardaud et Compagnie, vintage/old production from the 1920s–1950s. Elegant Art Deco design. Multicolored floral transfer decoration with a blue rim, spring-like, warm, cheerful, and traditional.
Hand washing recommended; dishwasher safe on a gentle, low-temperature cycle.
The set comprises 28 pieces:
1 Large dodecagonal serving platter:
34cm total length, 26cm width, 3.5cm height, slightly concave.
Very good condition. The decoration shows some minor manufacturing flaws and wear to the transfer and rim. No chips or cracks, a few very light and discreet utensil marks, minimal use. A beautiful, high-quality vintage piece. Approximately 900g.
2 Oval serving dishes:
22cm long, 14.5cm wide, and 2.3cm high.
Very good condition, with some minor imperfections in the transfers and a few small original stains/pyrite flakes (?). Approximately 150g each.
13 Octagonal dinner plates:
24.7cm in diameter and 2.5cm high. Good used condition, however, the decorations show some manufacturing flaws and wear to the transfer and rim.
Good condition, the plates show signs of use, minor manufacturing flaws, transfer imperfections, no cracks, 2 or 3 small chips, and some more or less discreet cutlery marks. Approximately 250g each.
4 Octagonal soup plates:
24.7cm in diameter and 4cm high. Very good condition, although the decorations show some minor manufacturing flaws and wear to the transfer and rim.
Good condition, no chips or cracks, a few very light and discreet utensil marks. Two of them have slight and discreet crazing on the base, as well as some manufacturing imperfections. Very little use. Approximately 300-350g each.
7 Octagonal Dessert Plates:
22cm in diameter and 2.3cm high.
Used condition, the decorations and rims show manufacturing flaws and wear to the transfer. There are also some imperfections in the glaze on the surfaces, with a subtle bubbly texture. Some utensil marks. Some have a patina, some show manufacturing imperfections. No cracks or chips. Minor use. Approximately 180g each.
1 Rounded gravy boat with integrated saucer:
Approximately 8 cm high, 17 cm maximum width for the gravy boat, saucer approximately 19 cm in diameter.
In very good used condition, the decoration shows some minor manufacturing flaws and subtle micro-wear to the transfer. No chips or cracks, but there is a fine, original firing crack on one rim, insignificant and discreet, with a slight tint. Approximately 350g.
