For lovers of Space Age design: a set of two vintage armchairs by designer Prof. Luigi ('Lutz') Colani for manufacturer Lusch Erzeugnis in Germany. The chair is rotatable. The ergonomically shaped tub is made of lacquered fiberglass, the base of plastic (plastic). What is special about the design is that the armrests continue behind the chair and seem to 'float'. The condition of both armchairs is good, with some normal and visible signs of wear. Dimensions: H (to) = 88 cm, H (seat) = 45 cm, W = 65 cm, D = 54 cm. Info: Luigi Colani (1928 – 2019) is best known for his futuristic, aerodynamic and biomorphic designs of cars, planes and boats. Nevertheless, in the 1960s and 1970s he also designed the necessary (seating) furniture and lamps, mainly for German manufacturers. He is also called the “Leonardo da Vinci of plastics” because of his great preference for molded plastic seating furniture. You can find these chairs on the Colani.org website under the Furniture Designs tab.
