Commonly described as a Holmegaard lamp.
PRICE IS FOR THE TWO LAMPS!
Additional information: https://vintageinfo.be/holmegaard-table-lamp/
NOTE: The original lamp has three light settings: one where only the base is lit, one where only the shade is lit, and one where both are lit.
The lighter base has only one light setting, where both the base and the shade are lit simultaneously.
The darker base has two light settings: one where only the base is lit and one where only the shade is lit. The third setting, where both are lit, needs to be checked and repaired, hence the lower purchase price.
NB: One base has a slightly darker base than the other because the base is hand-blown. NB 2 The photo of the long yellow lampshade is merely an indication of what the lamp might look like with a different (shaped) shade. This yellow shade is not included in the sale.
Material: Round aluminum base. Mouth-blown ochre-yellow glass. White glass interior (double-glazed). Brass rod. Two Bakelite E27 sockets. Off-white fabric lampshade. The lampshades are currently wrapped in protective plastic.
Total height: 54 cm
Square lampshade (not the original): 34 x 34 cm
Lampshade height: 24 cm
Base: ∅ 20 cm
Electricity: Two E27 bulbs, maximum 2 x 60 watts, 110/220 volts.
Any type of bulb can be used, but a white or frosted bulb in the base is preferred.
Period: 1960s, 1970s – Mid-Century Modern
Designer: To be assessed.
Manufacturer: Massive, Mortsel & Glasfabriek De Rupel N.V., Boom, Belgium.
It is often claimed that these lamps were made by Holmegaard or Fog & Morup from Denmark, but that is a misconception. The glass of these lamps was made by Glasfabriek De Rupel. The base, lampshade, and electrical components were made by Massive. These lamps were sold by Massive, so it is a Massive lamp. De Rupel produced many glass components for Massive lamps.

It is always said that these lamps were made by Holmegaard or Fog & Morup from Denmark, but those are false assumptions. The glass of these lamps was made by Glasfabriek De Rupel. The base, lampshade and electric parts were made by Massive. These lamps were sold by Massive, so it is a Massive lamp. De Rupel produced many glass parts for Massive lamps.
Aesthetically, the lamp is in excellent condition. The electrics of one of the lamps need to be repaired in order to use the third light position.
