This lot contains two copperplate posters from
an estate from a German household.
It is an old copperplate engraving by the German copper and steel engraver Conrad Geyer (1816 in Nuremberg - 1893 in Munich). The title is "Village and Town."
The dimensions are approximately 68.5 x 58.5 cm, with the engraving itself measuring approximately 53.5 x 40 cm. The object is torn along the right edge. Overall,
however, it is in good condition, as can be seen in the
photos.
The object was originally published by the German Publishing House (formerly Eduard Hallberger) in Stuttgart.
The second object is a high-quality print of
Adolph Menzel's artwork "A School Visit
of King Frederick William I." The print is framed and measures 73 x 59.5 cm with the frame, and 58.5 x 44 cm for the motif. There are signs of age-related wear, which can be seen in the photo.
