Two witnesses to the history of French pharmacy brought together in a single set. The larger one is an authentic apothecary bottle intended for pulverized belladonna leaf. Its typographic inscription is not a simple paper label. It is made under glass using the églomisé glass technique, offering remarkable preservation and a subtly elegant finish. The thick glass and generous proportions of this bottle evoke the pharmacies of the first half of the 20th century. Height approximately 20 cm. The second, more compact one, retains its original "Lactate de Chaux" label, issued by the French Pharmaceutical Cooperative of Melun, with the mention of 100 grams. It illustrates the evolution of pharmaceutical packaging from the 1920s-1940s, while retaining the charm of old pharmacy preparations. Height approximately 10 cm. Both bottles are empty and display a beautiful patina of use consistent with their age, with their period inscriptions and markings preserved. Together, they form an authentic and evocative decorative element, perfectly suited for a library, a cabinet of curiosities, or an interior where objects steeped in history find their full meaning.
