Set of two advertising chromolithographs for Jammet Flours, from the series "The Old Provinces of France". Front illustrated in color, with characters in traditional regional costumes. The two provinces depicted are Provence and Normandy. Back printed with the name "Jammet malted flours, Etablissements Jammet", with nutritional text and a flour chart. Etablissements Jammet was a French manufacturer of malted flours active in the 1930s-1940s. These chromo cards were offered as a premium with their products, following the tradition of advertising images widespread in French commerce during the interwar period. The "Old Provinces of France" series illustrates regional costumes and customs with graphic care characteristic of commercial chromolithography of the era. Approximate size 9 x 13 cm. Paper yellowed, condition consistent with age, illustrations clear and legible. To be slipped into a frame, paired with other collector's chromo cards, or integrated into a collection of antique advertising documents.
