Product description
Vepa furniture is designed and made in the Netherlands. The company has a circular attitude. The Fado chair sits wonderfully, the back slightly springing with you. Photo 21 shows how that works technically. The seat shell rotates 360 degrees, the cross-foot (4-toes) has trumpet feet that tilt with the floor and can also be adjusted in height.

The armrests are fine reading armrests and they can also go under normal dining tables. The light blue (50s blue) fabric is a smooth probably polyester-like fabric and good to clean. The white is a very matte which goes very well with the black piping and light blue upholstery. A beauty as far as I'm concerned.
I only have 1 Vepa Fado chair, and I replaced it with a high-back reading chair. So the Fado may go. Who knows, maybe someone is looking for an extra one in light blue?
UPDATE: the spots in the paint on the corners and edges have been touched up. See new photos #16 to #22.
The Fado is also known as a bucket seat: Vepa website explains: "The seat shell of the Fado is composed of nine layers of beech veneer pressed into shape. The slightly concave shape of the seat and the slightly springy backrest feel comfortable."
The style is classic/retro. The sticker indicates that this (official office furniture line) is this chair from 2011. Then they switched to a different designed base which is very unfortunate (it will have been a cutback?).
The cross base of this chair has nice curves above the trumpet feet so the rods run straighter and you can put your feet on them. Nowadays this runs high at an angle so this is no longer possible.
Vepa has been around since 1951 and be sure to check out their history on their website!
The chrome legs and trumpet feet have scratches that come with age. The edges of the wood are slightly chipped or worn at many corners: you can see this in photos 13 through 20. UPDATE: the spots in the paint on the corners and edges have been updated. See new photos nos. 16 to 22. In photo 14 you can see a light spot on the fabric of the left armrest. You hardly see it but it is there, so for your information.
