This set of four bar stools was designed by Axel Enthoven for the Dutch manufacturer Rohé Noordwolde in the 1970s. The design is characterized by a striking tubular frame that forms a flowing, continuous line, resulting in a sculptural and airy silhouette.
The stools are crafted from a white lacquered tubular frame, combined with a brass-colored footrest for added stability and comfort. The seats are upholstered in a heathered fabric in soft pastel and gray tones, offering a subtle contrast to the sleek frame. The design reflects the transition from the Space Age aesthetic to the more subdued forms of the late seventies.
The set is in good condition, commensurate with age and use. The original finish and upholstery have been preserved, contributing to the authentic character of these vintage pieces.
These bar stools look excellent at a kitchen island or home bar in a modern, eclectic, or vintage-inspired interior. The light color palette and open structure ensure that they do not visually weigh down the space. 48 x 48 x 102cm
