A little leather lore: "Not all leather is the same !!!"
Please do not compare this leather with artificially grained leather. With artificially grained leather, the lower skin layers of the animal hide (split leather) are pressed through heated steel rollers. The rollers have a surface that is modeled on the natural leather grain and thus create an artificial grain (embossing) of the original smooth leather through pressure and heat.
This artificially grained leather is very often used for leather furniture which is sold on ebay, Amazon & Co as well as in upholstered furniture stores with so-called bargain prices, producer prices, direct purchase prices etc. (often Chinese goods). This furniture is often advertised with the term "genuine leather", which is factually correct. This does not mean high quality, it is by no means a seal of quality, it only means that it is not artificial leather!
Incidentally, the leather is characterized by quite a high degree of wear and tear, with normal use the grain has disappeared after some time. It also feels cold and often quite rubbery due to the high paint application. The difference in quality can also be seen in the price; it only costs around 1/3 of the price of high-quality leather at the tanneries, as it is actually a reject or third-choice product in the conventional sense.

The photos are high-exposure, so that the 1a condition is also visible in detail! The shine on the photos or grayish areas are due to exposure or lighting (reflections), in nature the leather is silky matt and deep black.

Condition:
The Joker Chair is technically and visually in impeccable, excellent and mint original condition. Something like this is extremely rare and almost impossible to find. You will look in vain for the usual flaws and scratches on the chrome surface or on the corners and edges. Even the leather is like new! Everything is in absolute top condition. This is something for the collector's heart that has been searching for years. By far the best jocker chair on the market worldwide!
The armchair comes from the household of an architect, where the virtually unused upper floor was full of design classics in top and new condition.
