Mid- Century Modern Bamboo Baby Cradle, Bonacina Style, Italy 1960s. An exceptional mid-century Italian baby cradle, beautifully handcrafted from bamboo, rattan, and wicker. This elegant baby bed showcases the organic, fluid shapes and expert craftsmanship characteristic of the Italian Riviera style, popularized by renowned design houses like Vittorio Bonacina. The piece features a striking curved silhouette with an openwork vertical rattan spindle design. A highly desirable and functional element of this model is the integrated overarching bamboo rod, historically used to drape a mosquito net, veil, or canopy over the infant. In ready-to-use condition. It comes complete with its original-layout custom textiles, including beautifully tailored interior protective wall pads (bumpers) and a custom-fitted mattress, allowing for immediate modern use without the need for bespoke upholstery.
