Early 900 Antique Bentwood Coat Rack and Umbrella Stand in the Style of Thonet. An elegant and imposing turn-of-the-century bentwood coat rack, meticulously crafted in early 20th century. This sophisticated piece perfectly embodies the timeless aesthetic and technical innovation pioneered by Michael Thonet and the Vienna Secessionist movement. The structure is masterfully executed in steam-bent beechwood, featuring a deep, rich ebonized /black walnut patina that highlights its fluid, sculptural silhouette. The top section features a striking, multi-tiered crown with double-looped large coat hooks juxtaposed with smaller hat pegs beneath, arranged symmetrically around a decorative turned finial. The central column extends down to an integrated, beautifully scrolled umbrella and cane holder, balanced by elegant bentwood loop dividers.
