A magnificent 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon depicting The Twelve Great Feasts, exquisitely hand-painted in tempera on a wooden panel. This richly detailed composition presents twelve scenes from the liturgical calendar surrounding a central depiction of the Resurrection of Christ, illustrating the key moments in the life of the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ.
Rendered in the traditional Russian style, the icon features a masterful arrangement of vivid colors, intricate gilded backgrounds, and finely delineated figures. The surrounding inscriptions are executed in Old Church Slavonic, enhancing the work’s authenticity and devotional character.
