This exceptional antique cabinet, dating from the 19th century, is an original 'Groenlose kast', named after the region or manufacturer in the Netherlands. These cabinets are renowned for their solid quality and beautiful (solid oak) materialization. Key Features: Material: Crafted from solid oak. The wood has developed a rich, warm appearance and a beautiful patina over the years. Style: A classic Dutch Renaissance style, often referred to as a 'kussenkast' (cushion cabinet) because of the deep, convex door panels (cushions) and 'rankenkast' (vine cabinet) due to the detailed carvings of grapevines and leaves. Details: The cabinet features beautiful hand-carved details on the door stiles and an ornate profiled cornice at the top. Layout: The doors open to a spacious interior with shelving. The lower section includes drawers for extra storage space (the specific number of drawers depends on your particular piece).
