All our rugs are cleaned in a professional rug laundry. The first step of cleaning involves thoroughly beating the rug to remove dust and any mites. The subsequent pre-wash with a pH-neutral soap removes stains. During the main wash, the rug is hand-washed thoroughly – a special soap protects the fibers and preserves the rug’s natural wool grease. Mechanical pressing and spinning provide initial water removal, after which the rugs are hung to dry with continuous circulating air.
