Stunning and iconic 3-seater sofa from the golden era of Italian Space Age design (1970s), highly attributed to designer Adriano Piazzesi). This statement piece perfectly blends the ultimate plush comfort of the 70s with futuristic, geometric lines.
The sofa features a generous, deeply tufted upholstery in a rich, elegant chocolate/deep brown velvet. Its striking silhouette is defined by curved, tubular chrome metal bands that wrap around and hug the backrest and armrest cushions, creating an extraordinary contrast of materials typical of high-end Italian mid-century furniture.
The sofa is in perfect vintage condition. The velvet retains its beautiful sheen with no tears or major flaws. As an authentic piece from the 1970s, it shows a minor, natural patina on the fabric and some light signs of age/oxidation on the lower chrome details (as shown in photos), which only add to its vintage character and authenticity. The structure is perfectly solid, and the seating is incredibly comfortable.
